Clinical activity
The Centre provides a clinical service for preschool children
and their parents followed by the unit of Neurorehabilitation
– Developmental Neuropsychiatry (Dr. Borgatti). It provides
individualized psychological assessment in the following areas:
neurobehavioral profile, development of social and emotional
regulation skills, temperament, intrapsychic functioning of
the child. Given the age of the subjects, great relevance
is reserved for the assessment of mother-child relationship,
made through the application of both free and semi-structured
observation procedures (see: Tools section).
The Centre also offers consultations to parents of children
admitted to the Unit, which represents a listening space where
family members of children with special needs can find support
and assistance in the process of building its own parenting
.
