Description

The research activity is directed towards the deepening of complex visual disturbances. Two studies are currently underway through the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in order to identify in pre-mature children with a history of mild ROP regression, through the study of macular morphology, the existence of any anatomic outcomes and the long-term implications of the same on visual function. In addition, a study to quantify the anatomical damage to the optic nerve fibers in subjects with neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative disorders is being carried out with the aim of identifying early prognostic indicators of the development of a specific pathology. prognostic rehabilitation
purpose.

Current Research Project

The optical pathway as a model for the diagnostic-prognostic definition of disorders of the central nervous system: study by computerized optical tomography (OCT) of a large pediatric population. P.I .: Dott.ssa E. Lucarelli
