Psicopatologia dello sviluppo dei disturbi emotivi e comportamentali

L’area  di  ricerca è focalizzata sulle traiettorie di sviluppo delle competenze emotive e comportamentali dalla giovinezza, attraverso tutta l’adolescenza verso la giovane età adulta. L’identificazione di specifiche traiettorie e dei meccanismi psicologici e biologici attivi nell’indirizzare queste traiettorie può permettere di identificare gli obiettivi di trattamento e prevenzione per molte malattie mentali. L’interazione tra il patrimonio genetico e i determinanti ambientali è uno dei principali campi di interesse ed è chiaro ormai come questa giochi un ruolo importante nello sviluppo delle malattie mentali. La nostra ricerca intende inoltre indagare come l’espressività genetica si manifesta attraverso specifiche alterazione nello sviluppo dei circuiti cerebrali coinvolti nella regolazione cognitiva delle emozioni e del comportamento. Questi circuiti vengono indagati attraverso l’integrazione di misure elettrofisiologiche (EEG), strutturali (DTI) ed emodinamiche (fMRI e fNIRS), permettendo di raccogliere informazioni complementari con un alta risoluzione spaziale e temporale.
